This job contributes to REIs success by working cross-functionally with real estate, store design, visual merchandising, store managers, key leaders, and external partners to execute against new business development physical experiential design projects related to the rentals, activity sites, and eCommerce business initiatives. This position will lead and guide new business development concepts and will be responsible for strategy and concept development, cross-divisional communication, execution, and the path to scale for of all new elements that relate directly to the rentals, activity site, andrecommercephysical experience work.
This role is a critical partner across the organization, thinking strategically and acting decisively in an ambiguous environment while inspiring the team to drive optimal results. This role will set, balance, and communicate priorities in an increasingly fast-paced, evolving environment. Models and acts in accordance with REIs guiding values and mission. Lead the strategy and implementation ofthe spaceand design requirements for the optimal on-location rental, used gear and activity center experience. Develop a set of hypotheses to measureimpactof change through KPIs. Develop and implement a robust roadmap to execute in 2019 and 2020 that will inform the square footage, flow, hardware, material and machine requirements for both REIs existing rental fleet and the rental location of REIs future. Work closely with digital and IT teams to understand how digital channels will intersect with the in-store experience. Translate customer/employee insights into design direction and design concepts for future location experiences. Partner with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure future location experience designs are in alignment and in harmony with customer strategies, product strategiesandnew capabilities. Ability to create interesting and compelling spaces and experiences that focus not only on fixtures but Interior Design and Space planning. Lead assigned innovation and special projects up to $20M. Responsible for developing working plans and identifying resources. Accountable for developing, maintaining and communicating timelines, budgets, deliverables and implementation documentation. Responsible for gathering and communicating data to evaluate success. Drive communication and scope of work with outside vendors, which include project estimates, timelines, design, development and implementation. Immediate focus on supporting and scaling the rentals and activity center businesses, while also supporting keyrecommercepilot tests. Manage multiple, entrepreneurial physical space design projects and act askeyliaison between New Business Development Director and respective business Managers. Ability to manage up to 2 direct reports within first year in the role Travel required, up to 2 weeks a month Performs other duties as assigned.
